2012 Biketoberfest Marin PosterBiketoberfest Marin is annual Beer Festival & Bike Expo in the town of Fairfax. It features handcrafted beers, custom bicycles and components, delicious food, live music, rides, and activities for kids – there’s something for everyone!

Enjoy unlimited samples of over 30 beers from the West Coast’s best brewers, served in a commemorative Biketoberfest 8 oz glass (yours to keep). All proceeds benefit the Marin County Bicycle Coalition and Access4Bikes, which both promote bicycling in Marin County. Beer-tasting tickets are $25 advance purchase or $30 at the event (http://biketoberfest2012.eventbrite.com/).

The (free) bike expo features custom handcrafted products from dozens of bicycle and component manufacturers from all over Northern California and beyond, including Steelman, Soulcraft, Calfree, Ellsworth, Splendid, Rivendell, Hunter, Ahrens, Renovo, Paragon, The Hive, Paul Components, and more!

A group bike ride is meeting at San Francisco’s Ferry Building at 9:45 am to ride to Biketoberfest in Fairfax. It’s 22 miles over the Golden Gate Bridge and through scenic Marin County. Route Map: http://goo.gl/maps/GcNQi

Maps and turn-by-turn directions will be provided at the ride start. There will be two rides returning from the event. The first will leave around 4 pm to catch the 5 pm ferry from Larkspur to San Francisco. The second will leave shortly after 5 pm and ride the 22-mile route in reverse back to San Francisco.

In Heaven there is no beer, that’s why we drink it here!
